Well-made and efffective, but... Sep 05, 2010

I bought these to go with The Spin Clean Record Washer. I needed cloths that were good at soaking up lots of water. These worked like a charm, however, they have a strong chemical odor that doesn't go away for a couple of washes. Anything you wash with them will smell like chemicals too.

Towels work great. They dry my car with no streaking, scratches, or lint residue. They hold up well in the washing machine. No complaints!

These are great multi-purpose towels. I use them all over the house. I even use them to dry my hair. They also hold up very well in the wash.

Cleaning windows with Invisible Glass and applying RainX. Also good for applying a coat of wax.
The towels don't seem very absorbent, but that's not why I bought them. I bought them for the above mentioned uses. If you're planning to car wash with these...think again.
Wash separately at least for the first 2 to 3 times. and before first use I'd wash them. I had an issue of little fibers coming off on my seats when I was cleaning them, but never had that issue after the first rinse cycle.
But I won't complain. 4 stars for the usage of cleaning windows and applying RainX and wax.
Good cost per towel. Good value.

Fairly decent product ... 16"x16" *IF* you stretch it. Oct 02, 2011

Did not look like a full 16 inches but I measured the product and it *IS* 16 inches, *IF* I stretch it ... a little over ~14 inches when "relaxed".
Still, the price is not too bad. You can find better prices, if you shop really hard ... I decided these were cheap enough.
I got these for back-packing hygene ... for bathing and (in a pinch) as backup TP (re-usable, after washing ... ewww!).
Anyway ... I did not wish to pay the same premium, for these, as I did for larger camp-towels (which are really high priced).
I knew I had seen much less expensive micro-fiber hand towels and cleaning rags, at the dollar-store so ... I searched pretty hard, online, and found these ... still a bit pricey but not terrible.
I have not washed these, yet, so I cannot attest to how well-fixed the dye is, or how the wash-endurance plays out, but they did a great job of cleaning my binocular optics and, in new condition, they are plenty-soft for optics and personal hygene.
Hope this helps. I may be able to post an update, after protracted use ... in some months.
Oveerall ? ... Totally satisfied, thus-far.
